Hey everyone, here is my latest finished image. I had been working on this one little by little during my free time. I had wanted to paint a romantic image of a couple for a long time and I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. Once again I had a lot of fun with the color.
Here is a close-up as well.
Thanks for visiting :)

Hey everybody, Happy Halloween!! :)
Here is an image I painted for an ImagineFX monthly challenge titled "Witches Moon." Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and when I saw this challenge I had to make some time to work on an entry. I would have liked to add more detail but I didn't have much time to work on it this month due to my busy work schedule.
Painted using Photoshop and Painter.
Here is a close up as well
I hope you like it!! :)

One of my recent paintings titled, "The Jewel" was featured in a showcase section of this month's issue of Corel Painter magazine (issue #35). I just received my copy in the mail today and I think it printed great. The picture here that I took is terrible though.
I'm a fan of the magazine so this was an honor for me to have my work showcased. Yay!
For more info on the magazine here is a link. Check it out!

Hey everyone, :)
Here is my latest finished painting titled "Her Little sidekick".
I am very happy with the way it turned out. I had a lot of fun working on this painting and I especially loved working with this color scheme.
The story behind this work is that she is a circus performer who is tired and stressed from a long day of work and is being cheered up and entertained by her little sidekick (a Capuchin monkey) that is offering her a snack.
This image was painted using Photoshop and Painter.
Here are a few close-ups.

Here is yet another work-in-progress (titled "Forbidden Love") that I thought I would post here. I had started it as an entry to an art contest but couldn't find the time to finish it by the deadline. Aside from my busy work schedule I hope to find some time in the near future to finish it. There is still quite a bit of work needed to be done on this. I want to push myself farther with this one as I try to do with every new painting.
The story behind this work is dear to my heart and relates to a big issue that the world faces today. They are a young couple who ran away together because their cultures and families won't accept them as a couple. They are both from different countries and religious backgrounds though their countries are right next to each other their families hate each other and will never let them be together.
I wanted to capture a moment with them in a state of fear and bliss savoring every last moment that they have together before or if they ever are found.

After all of the excitement of having my portfolio featured on the CG society portfolio front page. I discovered that one of my works titled "Opalia" was chosen as pic of the week on Corel Painter magazines site front page. I just recently created a gallery there and only have one work uploaded so far and am already receiving good feedback.
This has really been a wonderful and lucky week for me. This is definitely great motivation to keep painting.

Just when I thought it would never happen I recently discovered that my portfolio is going to be featured on the front page of CG Society's portfolio front page. I'm still pretty unknown in the digital art world so this was a nice surprise. This really made my day. I'll be happy about this for the rest of the week. :)

Recently I was watching one of my favorite movies from Tim Burton titled "Corpse Bride" and thought I would take some free time to paint this image. I was thinking to myself "I wonder what these characters would look like if they were real" so the goal for this painting was to make these characters look more realistic.
This image is still incomplete and they still don't really look that realistic yet. I couldn't work too much into this image because of other work but I may try and finish it when I can get some free time again.

Hey everyone,
I have had a few people ask me if I could create a hair tutorial so I finally found some time and created this basic step-by-step process for painting hair. There is also a download for the brushes that I used as well. You can view the tutorial on my site at the link below.

Wow,
I just found out that one of my latest paintings titled "The Jewel" was placed on the front page of the It's Art community website as Editor's Choice. It was a nice surprise to me since I had only just recently created an account there and only have two works in the gallery there so far.
This really made my day. I worked hard on this painting and it's nice to see it get such positive feedback from the online communities. :)

I took some time off this Father's Day weekend to work on another personal work. So far I have put about 5 or so hours into it. I really want to take my time with this one and push the detail and really try to tell a story. She is a circus performer who is tired and stressed from a long day and is being cheered up and entertained by her little sidekick (a Capuchin monkey who is offering her a snack.
I hope to finish it soon. :)

Hello everyone, :)
I thought that I would go ahead and post a new painting that I just started last night. Its still a work in progress that needs a lot of work. I really want to push the detail with this one and add a few more elements to it. So far I am very happy with the way it's turning out. The process has just been flowing for me so far.
I haven't had much time for personal work lately and it was fun working on this painting. I hope to finish this image soon.

Hey everyone,
Finally I have a new design for my site which I am much happier with . Along with my new site design I also added a new basic lip painting tutorial to my tutorial page along with an older one that I created in the past. I will soon be adding a lot more content to the site since it is still not complete so keep checking back.
For some more good news my work has also been included in the DVD content of this months issue of ImagineFX. I haven't yet received my copy so I haven't seen it but I'm really looking forward to it. My work was also included in the fxpose section in issue #37 as well.
I haven't had much time to update this blog because of work but I plan on posting a lot more soon.

Hey everyone, :)
This is my first blog entry and I just wanted to mention that I am going to be adding some content very soon such as current news, sketches, works in progress, tutorials etc. As well as creating this blog I am also in the process of re-designing my website so keep checking back.
For some good news. One of my recent works titled "Orion Sky" was placed as Image of the day on the ImagineFX home page just this weekend. It was a surprise to me since I am still not very well known in the digital art world. I'm a huge fan of ImagineFX. Its a great magazine and a valuable resource to digital artists.
