My work on the front page! :)

Wow,

I just found out that one of my latest paintings titled "The Jewel" was placed on the front page of the It's Art community website as Editor's Choice. It was a nice surprise to me since I had only just recently created an account there and only have two works in the gallery there so far.

This really made my day. I worked hard on this painting and it's nice to see it get such positive feedback from the online communities. :)

Here is a link to the site.

Her Little Sidekick (work-in-progress)

I took some time off this Father's Day weekend to work on another personal work. So far I have put about 5 or so hours into it. I really want to take my time with this one and push the detail and really try to tell a story. She is a circus performer who is tired and stressed from a long day and is being cheered up and entertained by her little sidekick (a Capuchin monkey who is offering her a snack.

I hope to finish it soon. :)

Yay! I finally finished this image. :)

I just finished my latest image titled "The Hidden Place" which I had posted a work-in-progress of before. I hardly have time for personal work lately and I'm glad that I was able to find some time to finish it.

Here are some close-ups as well.

Thanks for visiting :)

Hello everyone, :)

I thought that I would go ahead and post a new painting that I just started last night. Its still a work in progress that needs a lot of work. I really want to push the detail with this one and add a few more elements to it. So far I am very happy with the way it's turning out. The process has just been flowing for me so far.

I haven't had much time for personal work lately and it was fun working on this painting. I hope to finish this image soon.

Hey everyone,

Finally I have a new design for my site which I am much happier with . Along with my new site design I also added a new basic lip painting tutorial to my tutorial page along with an older one that I created in the past. I will soon be adding a lot more content to the site since it is still not complete so keep checking back.

Aside from updating my website I also recently created a new painting. I have always been so fascinated by the universe and nebulae are among the most beautiful phenomenon in space. Just for fun one recent evening I decided to paint my own nebula. All together I spent about an hour or so on it. I may create a more zoomed out version of it as well.

For some more good news my work has also been included in the DVD content of this months issue of ImagineFX. I haven't yet received my copy so I haven't seen it but I'm really looking forward to it. My work was also included in the fxpose section in issue #37 as well.

I haven't had much time to update this blog because of work but I plan on posting a lot more soon.

Hey everyone, :)

This is my first blog entry and I just wanted to mention that I am going to be adding some content very soon such as current news, sketches, works in progress, tutorials etc. As well as creating this blog I am also in the process of re-designing my website so keep checking back.

For some good news. One of my recent works titled "Orion Sky" was placed as Image of the day on the ImagineFX home page just this weekend. It was a surprise to me since I am still not very well known in the digital art world. I'm a huge fan of ImagineFX. Its a great magazine and a valuable resource to digital artists.
